Hack Your Website
Lost Your WordPress Password? How to Reset It Fast!
Although many people want a website, they don’t think about important issues like the website ownership and security. Just imagine you run your own business — are you ready to give someone else your business documents and rights? Surely not! You want to keep them secure. Websites have the same issues. When you commission a website, make sure the company or developer gives you ownership of all access details, including access to the CPanel and to the WordPress Admin Panel.
After more than 10 years’ experience, I know people don’t worry about these issues, and as a result they can lose their website, domain names, and even profitable online businesses.
Your passwords to the CPanel and to the WordPress are the keys to your website, and it is very important to get them from the company or developer that set them up.
But although they are the keys, you can always lose them. Don’t worry — the good news is that until you have access to the CPanel you can always restore your password to the website Admin Section.
And you can always restore your password using the ‘Lost your password’ option. To do that, add
/wp-admin
or
/wp-login.php
at the end of your website domain. As for example: www.websiteexample.com.au/wp-admin
But what if you don’t know your Username or can’t access your Email Address?
To access the website Cpanel, try to add
/cpanel
at the end of your website domain. System will redirect you to the login screen:
Enter you CPanel access details and click on ‘Log in’.
The CPanel consists of many folders with your website content and settings. To access ‘Users’ information, click on phpMyAdmin. System will redirect you to the website database. Choose the WordPress file from the left top of the screen. Find the ‘wp_users’ file and click on it. Now you can see all the accounts that have access to your website.
Find User login as a manager or admin
Click on Edit. Choose ‘md5’ function and enter a new password to the ‘Value’ Field. Click on the ‘Go’ button at the very bottom of the screen.
Now you can access your website with a new password easily.
Congratulations — if you can do this you are a real hacker! And now you know that this is how it is possible to hack your website. This is the main reason why you must keep your access details secret. Contact us today if you need advice about your website security.
